PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rhode Island state police say a man drove a mile and half with a different man lodged in his windshield later than hitting the fatality with his car.
Christopher Swiridowsky has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident. He was ordered held Monday as an supposed bail violator from an additional case.
Police say Swiridowsky drove into three men standing on the surface of Interstate 95 near the beginning Sunday. Police say one, who suffered two busted legs and a broken arm, became trapped in Swiridowsky's windshield. Another also had staid injuries.
Establishment say Swiridowsky drove absent and stopped only because someone was following him.
A phone listed to Swiridowsky has been disengaged. No defense attorney is listed for him, and a public defender who earlier represented him did not instantly return a call for comment.
